Speaking at TechMentor and SQL Saturday Oslo 2019
TechMentor Redmond 2019
Next week I’m excited to be going back to Seattle for what seems to be the umpteenth time. I’ve been selected to deliver two sessions at the TechMentor conference at the Microsoft Campus in Redmond: “The Force Awakens - Azure SQL Server for the On-prem DBA” and “Boring is Stable, Stable is Good - SQL Server Best Practices in Practice”. This marks my first time speaking outside of Europe and getting to do it at the Microsoft HQ is equal parts exciting and scary. I’m very much looking forward to meeting a US audience and sport my Star Wars waistcoat on the other side of the Atlantic.

SQL Saturday Oslo 2019
In just short of a month, (Aug 31st) I’m also speaking at SQL Saturday Oslo 2019! I’ll be delivering “Azure Machine Learning for the Absolute Beginner”, a primer on what Azure Machine Learning is, what it can do, what it can’t do and how to implement your first machine learning project. The lineup is exceptional as always - just look at the schedule here: https://www.sqlsaturday.com/854/Sessions/Schedule.aspx The Saturday event is free (as is always the case with SQL Saturdays), and anyone is sure to find much food for thought in the 35 sessions offered throughout.
If that wasn’t enough, there will be two days of pre-cons this year. Check them out here: https://www.sqlsaturday.com/854/EventHome.aspx They do cost some money, but the price/performance for a full day of training with these amazing speakers is difficult to beat.
